Music in Art: International Journal for Music Iconography

41_0001Music in Art is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal devoted to the study of visual sources of music from antiquity to the present. It fosters communication between historians of art, dance, and theater, musicologists, and ethnomusicologists engaged in the research of pictorial representations of musical instruments and their decorations, occasions for music-making and dance, the history of performance practice, and the relationship between music and visual art in the 21st century.
